10-88 Nation! This week a close longtime friend to me, Dan Hamilton joins us on the podcast. A former cop who was involved in a shooting. Matter of fact, his shooting was my first officer involved shooting investigation as a member of the major crimes unit! I’m very thankful Dan was able to discuss this incident with us.
 
These critical incidents are so challenging to talk about and for an officer to share their experience with us is always and amazing blessing! This critical incident took place in July of 2008. A very busy populated area of the city in a strip mall. The bad guy entered a jewelry store armed with a handgun. He committed a robbery then exited the store with a hostage. It was then, he was met by some of the finest officers of the agency.
