Mike was a patrolman, he served as an officer on the Community Oriented Policing Unit and a detective in the investigation division. Mike also served several years in S.W.A.T. as a secondary assignment.

His story identifies the horrific realism of police work and the trauma these calls for service can bring to our men and women. Thousands of officers across this nation are exposed to traumatic events over and over throughout their careers. These events impact everyone differently. Mike won the battle and has made amazing progress for the better over the years. Kudos to Mike for sharing his stories and being open with all of us! Not an easy thing to do.
